PURPOSE:To prevent fracture and pull-off in a juncture and to make operation quicker by forming metallic pipes for an oxygen lance provided circumferentially with recesses on the outside surface, inserting the metallic pipes into a pipe joint and clamping the recesses of the metallic pipes. CONSTITUTION:Projecting parts 1 are provided on the inside circumferential surface at the center in the central direction of a metallic cylindrical body A which has the inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of a metallic pipe B and is combustible at a high temp. The pipes B which are preliminarily provided with recesses 3 in the prescribed positions on the outside diameter at both ends of such pipe A are inserted onto the pipes B until the pipe ends contact with the projecting parts 1. The tightening parts 2 of the joint A are plastically deformed approximately to an arc shape by a caulking machine, etc. in a way as to clamp the recesses 3 of the pipes B, by which the pipes B are connected to each other. |
