Brush device comprising a plurality of aligned tubular elements 1 and a cap 2 in order to form a column sealed externally by means of a leaktight coating. The front end of each element 1 is fitted with a brush-holding head 12 and the parts located right around the head and the rear of each element form respectively the male and female part of a nesting joint, the male part being slightly longer than the female part in order thus to form a groove 31 disposed radially at the junction of two adjoining elements, around the periphery of the column, which groove acts as a guide in order to facilitate a cut being made around this part for the purpose of removing a worn element. <IMAGE>
