TREATMENT OF MOLTEN BLAST FURNACE SLAG

PURPOSE:To increase treating capacity and to reduce the cost of treatment by using a circular moving bed provided with a water spraying and cooling device and plural revolving rolls made into a water cooling construction and rolling continuously the slag to a sheet shape at plural points. CONSTITUTION:Plural water spraying nozzles 2 which spray cooling water toward the bottom surface of a turntable type circular moving bed 1 and revolving rolls 3 of the water cooling construction which are provided atop said bed and roll molten slag to a thin sheet of <=5mm. thickness by moving cooperatively with the moving bed 1 are provided to the moving bed 1. Molten blast furnace slag 9 is supplied from the nozzle 5 of two molten slag spouts 4 onto the bed 1, and is rolled by the cooperative movement of the rolls 2 and the bed 1. The rolled slag is cooled by the nozzles 2 and is thus made into the sheet-like rolled slag. The slag is roughly crushed by primary crushing rolls 6 and is discharged by a discharging device 7 onto a conveyor 8.
