<p>PURPOSE:To obviate the necessity of an air pump independently set by suspending fuel supply into a part of injection nozzles and feeding air as secondary air into a trap. CONSTITUTION:A trap 20 for collecting the minute particles contained in exhaust is regenerated by a burner means 21. When the fuel supply into a part of injection nozzles 13d is suspended by a stop valve 30, the secondary air supplied by the burner means 21 is supplied through a secondary-air feeding passage 25 by switching a selector valve 29 installed in the branch of an exhaust passage 15. The stop valve 30 and the selector valve 29 are operated in synchronization with a controller 40, and the secondary air is supplied only when the trap is regenerated.</p> |
