PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of output power and as well to enhance the performance of fuel consumption, by providing a knocking detecting means to carry out such a feed-back control that the ignition timing is retarded or advanced in accordance with occurrence of knocking. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 4 is planetarily rotated in a casing formed by a rotor housing 2 having a trochoidal inner surface 1 and a side housing 3. When the occurrence of knocking is detected, a trailing side ignition plug 10 sparks with its set ignition timing as it is, but a leading side ignition plug 12 alone sparks with such an ignition timing that spark retardation is retarded in accordance with the intensity of knocking. Thus, the lowering of output power may be prevented, and as well the performance of fuel consumption may be also enhanced. |
