PURPOSE:To prevent smoking and end breakage during heating drawing of thermoplastic synthetic yarn, by providing the surface of thermoplastic synthetic yarn before drawing with a specific nonaqueous finishing oil. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic synthetic yarn is obtained by melt spinning. Before it is drawn, the surface of the yarn is provided with a nonaqueous finishing oil containing a mixture of (A) 80-99pts.wt. smoothing agent consisting of a compound shown by the formula [R1CO- is 6-30C monofunctional fatty acid residue; Z is H, or -OCR2 (R2 is 1-30C monofunctional organic group; -OXO- is polyhydric alcohol (alkylene oxide adduct) residue; -OCYCO- is OCA1SA2CO-, -OCA3OA4CO-, etc. (A1-A4 are 1-6C alkylene); n is 1-6], and (B) 1-20pts.wt. alkylene oxide compound such as a reaction product of three substances of a higher fatty acid, polyhydric alcohol, and polyethylene glycol and/or polypropylene glycol, to give the desired yarn. |
