PURPOSE:To improve quality while decreasing the strain by hardening by inserting separately attaching pipes for inside circumferential cooling nozzles attached with inside nozzles into a hollow pipe parts from the right and the left and hardening said parts. CONSTITUTION:The hollow parts 1 are set in a hardening position and cylinders 91, 92 are operated to move right and left clamps 2, 3 to grasp the work 1 from the right and left; at the same time, cylinders 141, 142 are operated to move right and left attaching pipes 41, 42 for inside circumferential cooling nozzles to the spraying position. An outside circumferential cooling jacket 5 is put on the outside circumference of the work 1 in parallel with such operation. While a sprocket 7 set with a chain 7a is rotated by a motor, coolants A, B are supplied via the jacket 5 and right and left pipes 23, 24. The coolants A, B are sprayed from an outside nozzle 5a, and right and left inside nozzles 41a, 42a, by which the hollow parts are hardened. |
