PURPOSE:To drive a fuel pump without giving the drive reaction force to the distributor by fitting a separate cylindrical cam on one of the ends of a cam shaft for dynamic valve, and by engaging a drive lever for the fuel pump with this cylindrical cam. CONSTITUTION:When engine is operated, a cam shaft 2 driven by a crank shaft through a timing belt 17 and a driven pulley 16 rotates synchronously the rotary shaft 9 of distributor D through a joint 10, and a cam 11 rotated as in a single piece will cause oscillative swing of the drive lever 12 of fuel pump. At this time, the drive reaction force generated at the fuel pump is borne by said cam shaft 2 with higher rigidity, and the shaft 2 is coupled with the rotary shaft 9 of distributor D through the joint 10. Thereby the rotary shaft 2 can be rotated smoothly without receiving the drive reaction force.
