Centre-board or keel with adjustable self-orientation and self-inclination, of the pivoting or "sabre" type, and corresponding housing, for equipping any craft propelled on water by wind so as to eliminate lateral drift while ensuring vertical lift as desired. The principal technical characteristic resides in the formation of an axis of orientation and associated inclination OI, which is adjustable at will between two extreme positions, the vertical and the horizontal, so as to control the orientation and the inclination. This orientation/inclination axis OI can be formed on the centre-board, on the keel or on the walls of the housing which receives it. Moreover, the orientation and the inclination can be eliminated progressively when the fin keel is partially retracted. The base of the housing is equipped with a movable closing plate which follows the fin keel 1 in its inclination. One described embodiment makes it possible to obtain a great inclination and therefore a great bearing effect. <IMAGE>
