<p>PURPOSE:To utilize inexpensively and efficiently slag produced in a refining furnace where molten crude steel treated in an electric furnace is treated to manufacture molten Cr steel as a slag making material necessary for treatment in the electric furnace by charging said slag into the electric furnace. CONSTITUTION:Molten crude steel melted, reduced, and desulfurized in an electric furnace is charged into a refining furnace, where it is decarburized, reduced, and desulfurized to manufacture molten Cr steel. At this time, the desulfurizing power of CaO in the refining furnace is lower than that of CaO in the electric furnace, so when slag after reduction and desulfurization in the refining furnace is charged into the electric furnace, it can be utilized effectively as reducing and desulfurizing agents in the electric furnace.</p> |
