PURPOSE:To obtain a magnet material having superior magnetic characteristics by blowing an inert gas into a molten alloy when an ''Alnico'' type magnet alloy is manufactured by casting. CONSTITUTION:An ''Alnico'' type magnet alloy is melted in the air, and an inert gas is blown into the molten alloy to reduce the amounts of nitrogen and oxygen in the molten alloy. When the treated molten alloy is cast, the amount of nitride and oxide inclusions remaining in the cast alloy is reduced, so an alloy having superior magnetic characteristics can be obtd. |
