The invention relates to a fabric baby-carrier without rigid support frame, of the type comprising a dorsal part 1 and a ventral part, contiguous laterally and joined at their lower part by a part 4 forming a seat for the child, openings 5 being provided for passing the legs of the baby between the part 4 forming a seat and the contiguous parts 3, the ventral part being fitted on the outside with a system of straps 22, 23 or the like enabling the baby-carrier to be carried. According to the invention, the dorsal part 1 comprises a central longitudinal opening fitted with a first zip fastener 7, the parts of the said dorsal part arranged on either side of this zip fastener comprising an inner reinforcement made of a flexible material 9, 10, and the dorsal part 1 and the part 4 forming a seat are joined by a strip of fabric enabling the baby-carrier to be fitted to the waist of the child. <IMAGE>
