PURPOSE:To disperse forcibly and cool quickly a molten metal with high efficiency by attaching a nozzle to a rotary cup, ejecting the molten metal by a centrifugal force and putting the tip of the nozzle into a moving water layer. CONSTITUTION:An inner cup 1 and an outer cup 18 are rotated respectively separately in, for example, the same direction. When water is fed through a rotary joint 7 into a cylindrical shaft 5, the water enters the inside of the cup 1 through the shaft 5 and is ejected from an ejecting port 6a toward the wall surface of the cup 18. The water entering the cup 18 forms a water layer W. When the molten metal 20 in a feed tank 19 is fed into the cup 1, the metal 20 is ejected from the aperture at the tip of the nozzle 3 into the layer W. The molten metal is then sheared and dispersed by the water passing the layer and at the same time the molten metal is cooled to solidify.
