PURPOSE:To permit energy economization by arranging liquid drainage piping on the inlet side of a low boiling-point medium evaporator and lowering the desinged pressure in a low boiling-point medium cycle, in a power generation plant which performs generation through utilization of the cold heat of LNG. CONSTITUTION:A medium having a low boiling point is evaporated in a medium evaporator 4, and said vapor is supplied into a turbine 6 and drives a generator 13. Said medium having a low boiling point is introduced into a medium condenser 1 and condensed by the cold heat of LNG supplied from a conduit 15. A liquid drainage valve 27 and conduits 28 and 29 are installed on the inlet side of the medium evaporator 4. The perfect closing signal for an LNG cut-off valve 16 sets the liquid drainage valve 27 into the perfectly opened state in about 1sec and recovers the working medium into a medium storage tank 23. The system pressure in a low boiling-point medium system can be reduced by reducing the amount of working medium during the time when LNG is cut off. Accordingly, since the cost of equipment can be reduced, and the prime cost for generation can be reduced, energy economization is permitted. |
