This helmet comprises a front part 1 and a rear part 2, which are articulated, the said front part comprising a rigid chin strap 10, 11 coming from the rear, and the said rear part 2 being movable between an opening position, in which it clears a sufficient opening to permit the passage of the face of the head of the user, and a closure position, in which it delimits, with the rear edge of the said chin strap 10, 11, a passage which is just sufficient for the neck of the user. <IMAGE>
