PURPOSE:To reduce a drop in the temp. of molten steel in a ladle when molten steel refined in a converter is poured into the ladle, by adding a granular or briquetted heat insulator to the ladle immediately after the tapping of molten steel is started. CONSTITUTION:When a converter 1 is tilted to pour molten steel in the converter 1 into a ladle 3, a granular or briquetted heat insulator 4 of >=5mmphi made of paper sludge, burnt chaff or the like is added to the ladle 3 within about 30sec after the tapping of molten steel is started. Since the surface of the molten steel 2 in the ladle 3 is covered with the heat insulator 4 until the tapping of molten steel is finished, the radiation of heat from the surface of the molten steel 2 is inhibited to reduce a drop in the temp. of the molten steel. |
