In the case of an appliance vehicle for extinguishing purposes at least one essentially horizontal carrier is provided which can be slid in and out to the side or rear of the vehicle. The carrier has a fixing device on the underside of its extensible end, which in turn is fixed, longitudinally and/or transversely displaceable. With the carrier slid out, lifting tackle can be detachably fixed on the fixing device in order to load loads or fire extinguishing appliances. Only one operator is needed for the loading. The essentially horizontally displaceable carrier is preferably a supporting part of an appliance drawer of the vehicle (fig.1). <IMAGE>
