Tubular food casing, in particular sausage casing, having improved peelability

The cellulose-based tubular food casing, in particular sausage casing, has a coating on its inner surface to improve the peelability of the casing from the filling, in particular from the sausage mass. The coating comprises a homogeneous mixture of a water-soluble cellulose ether and/or starch ether, a wax and, possibly, silicone oil and/or vegetable oil. In addition, processes are described for producing this casing and use thereof for producing blood sausages and scalding sausages and bent and ring-shaped raw sausages.
