PURPOSE:To output a proper wheel speed based upon the actual by inhibiting correction operation when the wheel speed enters an extremely high speed range temporarily and returns to a normal speed range instantaneously. CONSTITUTION:Wheel speed pulse is inputted to a wheel speed arithmetic part 31, whose calculated wheel speed is inputted to a wheel speed state discriminating part 34 to discriminate on which of the extremely high speed range, high speed range or normal speed range the wheel speed is in. A wheel speed abnormality detection part 35 detects abnormality of the wheel speed when the discrimination output has transition from the extremely high speed range directly to the normal speed range without passing through the high speed range, and switches a changeover switch 36a from normal mode I to abnormal mode II. The wheel speed from a wheel speed memory 36b is outputted in abnormal mode II. Further, a wheel speed abnormality detection part 35 detects the wheel speed abnormality after a discrimination output in the extremely high speed range continues for a prescribed time. |
