PURPOSE:An epoxy resin of excellent reliability, which allows one to shorten a processing cycle greatly, obtained by epoxidizing a cocondensate of a phenol with a prim. amine and formaldehyde. CONSTITUTION:The purpose epoxy resin is obtained by epoxidizing a cocondensate of a phenol such as phenol, cresol, xylenol, or resorcinol with a prim. amine such as aniline, phenylenediamine, toluylenediamine or hydrazine and formaldehyde. This epoxy resin has an average structure of the formula. This resin or a mixture of this resin with another epoxy resin can be used by suitably mixing it with a curing agent, etc., and if necessary, a cure accelerator, filler, pigment, surface-treating agent, mold release, or the like, may be added thereto.
