A control flap 20 is swivel-mounted in the intake connection 17 of an air filter 13. In the one limit position it closes a cold air duct 18 and in the other limit position a warm air duct 19. The drive linkage 22 of a pneumatic servo motor 23 acts on the control flap 20. A wax thermostat 40, which forms a part of the drive linkage 22 and is assembled with the servo motor 23 to form a control sub-assembly, has a coupling piece 47 which can be bolted to its housing base 44 for the swivel-fixing of the control flap 20. The coupling piece 47 has an annular groove 52 defined at the end by a head 49 and a flange 51. The head 49 of the coupling piece 47 has a slot 53 for the attachment of a screwdriver or spanner, which is inserted through a closable aperture 58 in the wall of the cold air duct 18. The length of the drive linkage 22 can thereby be adjusted after insertion of the control sub-assembly into the intake connection 17. <IMAGE>
