The invention relates to a face support assembly for underground mine working, with a floor construction (2) and a one-piece roof bar (1) which are distanced from one another by double-acting props (8) displaced in a tension-proof and compression-proof manner and are guided on one another by a gob shield (3) which is fastened to the roof bar (1) in an articulated manner and is guided by link mechanisms (5, 6) on the floor construction (2), which has a walking mechanism (14) for advancing the face conveyor and drawing along the support assembly as well as two floor beams (10) which extend parallel to one another in the direction of the coal face and are movable towards one another and on which the props (8) are supported. In order to avoid overload phenomena in the area of the link guide for the gob shield (3) in a support assembly of this type, the invention proposes that the floor construction (2) have a rigid plate (9) on the goaf side, which plate (9) extends over the entire width of the support assembly and to which the links of the gob shield (3) are linked on the one hand and the floor beams (10) are linked on the other hand.
