Plastic carrier for bath and shower tubs in the shape of a box having a central recess for accommodating the tub, the side and end walls each forming individual elements which can be removed with one another, and there being in the side walls (1, 1a) running on the inside in the longitudinal direction in the upper and lower region and in the end walls (2, 2a) running transversely on the outside in the upper region groove-like recesses (3, 3a), into which correspondingly profiled strips (4, 4a) made from metal or plastic are inserted and are fastened via screw connections (5), the end walls (2, 2a) running obliquely downwards on one side (6), and the side walls (1, 1a) and the end walls (2, 2a) being joined to one another by means of screwed-on corner posts (7) made from angle sections, and an additionally height-adjustable base elbow (8) being fastened to each corner post (7) by means of a setting screw (9). <IMAGE>
