PURPOSE:To enhance sensitizing performance by incorporating an azo type pigment as an electrostatic charge generating pigment and nitrobenzoic acid as a charge transfer substance to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating substance and a charge transfer substance are uniformly dispersed into an electrically insulating resin medium to form a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate. The photosensitive layer contains an azo type pigment as a charge generating substance, and as a charge transfer substance, in an amt. of 12.0-44.0wt% of said resin medium, nitrobenzoic acid represented by the formula shown on the right in which (n) is 1 or 2. |
