In cellular-wheel feeders which are used as feeders for pneumatic conveyor pipelines which are under pressure, the unavoidable stream of leaked air picks up the fines of the powdered or granular conveyed material and carries it into the aspiration section. This causes a loss of a percentage of the material, environmental problems or additional costs for the filtering. With the invention a cellular-wheel feeder design is proposed which permits elimination, to a very substantial extent, of the fine material, carried off by the stream of leaked air, from the stream of leaked air while it is still in the feeder region, and return of the fine material to the stream of material. This is achieved by the application of guiding means and by designing a system of channels in the feeder attachment, within which the particles of material which have been carried off are separated from the stream of leaked air 1. by multiple deflection of the stream of leaked air with a movement component pointing transversely to the force of gravity or with one movement component pointing transversely to and another pointing in the direction of the force of gravity, 2. by expansion and 3. via the rebound effect, and are then guided into the cells of the cellular wheel together with the stream of material.
