The invention relates to a device which operates hydraulically, produces vibrations and has a hydraulic pump whose pressure line leads on the one hand to a piston cylinder arrangement whose piston can be moved by the hydraulic pressure counter to the effect of a restoring force and on the other hand leads to a pressure release which, at a selectable frequency, connects the pressure line to a return line of the hydraulic system.
