The apparatus is provided with a cylinder (1) with a pressure piston (2), which is driven by a motor (5,7) via a piston rod (4). The piston space (3) can be filled with the substance to be injected and for this purpose has a feed (14) with an inlet opening (13) and an expulsion opening (15). A duct (16) is connected to the expulsion opening (15) and leads to a handle (17) with an injection pipe (18). The feed (14) is provided with a bushing (23) with a coupling part (25) for connection to a supply container (30) and with a connection section (24) for connection of a suction duct (28). A non-return valve (21,22) is arranged in the feed (14) and blocks the feed of the substance during the injection cycle, and a non-return valve (19,20) is arranged in the region of the handle (17) and shuts off during the suction stroke of the pressure piston (2). <IMAGE>
