PURPOSE:To attain read-out of an information medium which is written in another format by loading an information recording medium containing a control element for information medium and an information recorder in a body to an input/output device. CONSTITUTION:When an information recording medium 10 is loaded to a prescribed position of an input/output device 20, the communication is possible between an input/output controller 22 of the device 20 and a microcomputer 11 of the medium 10. Then the device 20 gives an access to the memory of the computer 11 to obtain the data format of the information and the information on a cipher decoding key which are previously recorded to an information recorder 12. These obtained information are stored to a memory 21. Hereafter an access is given to the medium 12 by an information read/write mechanism 23 based on the stored information and under the control of the device 22. Then the information is transferred between the device 20 and the medium 10. |
