PURPOSE:To execute efficiently and exactly an image shift of a shift quantity by a mechanical operation by constituting so that a dish of a sheet carrying device can be moved in the direction crossing at a right angle with the carrying direction. CONSTITUTION:An original sheet carrying deivce 17 carries an original sheet in the direction as indicated with an arrow Y. A dish 22 loads and holds the origianl sheet. The dish 22 has a reference guide 23, and a slide plate 24 is provided on the opposite side. An original is held by both these guides 23, 24. A recessed guide member 29 provided on the dish 22 is engaged to a projecting guide member 28 of a substrate 27 of the device. Also, the dish 22 can be slid in the direction X by this member 29. The member 29 has a rack 32, and is driven to slide by a motor 30 through a gear 31 and a shaft 30a. |
