PURPOSE:To set an optional time for an unrecorded part and to detect easily the unrecorded part the designated time length, by using a time setting switch to set the time. CONSTITUTION:An optional detection time for the unrecorded part is set by a time setting means 11 for unrecorded part and displayed to a display part 12. When a start means 13 for detection of unrecorded part is turned on, a means 14 which traverses a tape quickly after rewinding it drives a mechanism 15. Thus the tape is quick traversed after it is rewounded. During this quick traversing mode an unrecorded part detection means 16 detects the time of the unrecorded part. A comparing means 17 compares the set detection time for unrecorded part and the detected time for the unrecorded part. If the coincidence is obtained from this comparison, a signal is sent to a means 18 from the means 17. The means 18 rewinds the tape back to the head of the unrecorded part and sets the tape in a record waiting mode. Then the record waiting state is obtained. |
