A tubular casing for receiving a cosmetic refill, in particular a lipstick refill, comprises a longitudinally displaceable, cup-shaped refill holder, into which the cosmetic or lipstick refill is inserted with one end. The cup-shaped refill holder can be moved back and forth by an associated advancing mechanism. In order to achieve a more reliable fastening of the cosmetic or lipstick refill in the refill holder without making manufacture more complicated, specifically even in unfavourable storage conditions, at least one upright, moulded-on fastening wall is arranged on the bottom of the refill holder, which fastening wall extends with spacing from the inside wall of the refill holder and is pressed into the substance of the refill when the latter has been inserted.
