The device is composed of a transmitting portion (1, 2, 3) providing the energy supply for the data support (4), as well as of a receiving (8, 9, 10, 11) and evaluating portion (12), processing the data sent back by the data support. Both energy and data transmission are carried out contactless by induction. The frequency ratio (n) of the transmitted signal to the received signal allows for a disturbance-free operation of the device with a simple design. The device can be used with integrated semiconductor cards, so-called chips, as well as with labels for anti-theft systems.
