PURPOSE:To provide the titled film or sheet having excellent electromagnetic wave shielding properties and suitable for use in the production of the housing of electronic equipment, by incorporating electrically conductive carbon black and a carbon fiber in a thermoplastic resin in a specified vol. ratio. CONSTITUTION:60-94vol% thermoplastic resin such as polystyrene resin or polyethylene resin, 20-3vol% electrically conductive carbon black such as acetylene black or furnace black and 20-3vol% carbon fiber are mixed together. The mixture is fed to an extruder and extruded through a flat die into the desired electrically conductive plastic film or sheet. The same kind of a thermoplastic resin is laminated on both sides of this plastic film or sheet by co-extrusion to obtain an electromagnetic wave-shielding, electrically conductive synthetic resin film or sheet having excellent mechanical characteristics in particular.
