PURPOSE:To perform the fade-in and fade-out operations without deteriorating the reproduction frequency characteristics by dividing a sound recording or reproducing track into plural erasion tracks and increasing or decreasing the number of erasion tracks. CONSTITUTION:A multi-erasion head 1 containing plural eraion head assemblies set side by side is provided together with a bias oscillator 6 which can flow a saturated erasion current to each erasion head assembly, and a control circuit 2 which increases or decreases the number of erasion heads to which the saturated erasion current flows. When a sliding bar 7a is moved upward, the erasion current flows to the erasion head assemblies in the order of 10, 11, 12-1n. Then just an area of 1/n width of a sound recording or reproducing track is erased with the head assembly 10 and an area of 2/n width of a sound recording or reprducing track is erased with the head assembly 11. In the same way, the entire width of a sound record or reproducing track is finally erased. When the bar 7a is moved down, the above-mentioned action is reversed to increase gradually the reproduction level. In such a way, the fade-in and fade-out operations are carried out. |
