<p>PURPOSE:To improve precision, in a chucking apparatus for insertion of an electronic part in a printed board, in retaining the electronic part, by providing the chucking apparatus with a pair of opening and closing claws pivotally attached thereto at end portions thereof, each thereof having a projected portion and a portion for laterally shifting the electronic part, whereby the part is retained in the right position with its bottom portion taken as the reference for the retaining. CONSTITUTION:When compressed air is supplied to the cylinder 8 of the chuck body 1 for causing the same to chuck a part b supported on the part supporting stand 24, the piston 9 is lowered; the piston head 21 is simultaneously and integrally lowered, whereby the bottom surface of the plunger 15 is causd to elastically push the molded portion c of the part b downward and at the same time the head pins 22, 22 are caused to move downward sliding along the lead grooves 23, 23. Therefore, the opening and closing claws 6, 6 are caused to close rotating about the pivot shaft 4, 4 for chucking the molded portion c of the part b with the chuck portions 7, 7. The projected portion 7a retains the molded portion c at its bottom portion and the portion for laterally shifting 7b presses the side surface of the molded portion c and thus precision in the chucking is attained.</p> |
