Water heater for the production and storage of hot water, with a heating unit (4) arranged inside a riser pipe (6) in the lower portion of the container (1), said container being equipped with a hot water connection and a cold water connection, wherein the riser pipe (6) opens into the upper region of the container (1), that portion (housing 5) of the riser pipe (6) which receives the heating unit (4) is closed relative to the interior of the container (1), the cold water supply conduit (2) to the container (1) is equipped with a bypass conduit (11) which opens into the housing (5) for the heating unit (4), and a closure means (14) is arranged in the cold water supply conduit (2) between the container (1) and the place (17) where the bypass conduit (11) is connected to the cold water supply conduit (2), characterised in that the cold water supply conduit (2) to the container (1) is equipped in a manner known per se with a connecting means for a flexible cleaning tube (15), and a connecting means for connecting-on a flexible cleaning tube (16) is provided at the discharge side of the riser pipe (6) inside the container (1), the latter means separating the interior of the riser pipe from the interior of the container when the cleaning tube (16) is connected-on.</p> |
