When sorting photographic film containers for the purpose of subsequent development, there is a problem of assigning them to the individually associated covers, in general cassette cases, in a simple and work-saving manner and of maintaining the assignment whilst passing through the development operations up to the subsequent reunion. For the solution, the film containers (FK) and covers (HL) are placed on separation in receptacles (AF and AH, respectively) assigned to one another in pairs. By collecting suitable individual data, using data technology, for the pairs of associated film containers (FK) and covers (HL) and by corresponding, in particular optically readable, marking, the final reunion is ensured. When collecting data on the film containers (FK) using data technology, for example by means of scanning and reading stations (T, L1, L2), additional relevant data for the development, for example regarding different container shapes, film types and customer data, can be taken into account. As a function of the data collected, a sorting-separating station (ST) for the separate collection of film container quantities in accordance with predetermined sorting criteria can also be controlled. <IMAGE> |
