PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus capable of increasing the space velocity of a catalyst without generating clogging, in an apparatus for performing the desulfurization and denitration of exhaust gas by an ore catalyst, by specifically combining a cylindrical reactor provided with a radial catalyst layer and inside and outside rotary ducts for covering both end surfaces of sais reactor. CONSTITUTION:Rotary ducts 22, 23 are connected to the upper an the lower surfaces of a cylindrical reactors 21 equipped with a catalyst in a detachable manner in a radial form. Not only these ducts 22, 23 respectively cover the aforementioned upper and lower surfaces entirely or partially in an air-tight state and constituted of outside and inside ducts 29, 30 and 31, 32. A lid body 33 with an exhaust inlet 33a and a cylinder 36 with an exhaust inlet 36a are respectively attached to the ducts 29, 32 and a lid body 34 with an exhaust gas outlet 34a and a cylinder 35 with an exhaust gas outlet 35a are respectively attached to the ducts 30, 31. The ducts 22, 23 are integrally rotated through the transmission part 27 and the rotary shaft 26 provided to the outer periphery of the duct 23 by an apparatus 28 and, when exhaust gas is introduced respectively from the inlets 33a, 36a, is passes to the direction shown by the arrows from the one side surface to the other side surface of the layer 24 to be subjected to desulfurization and denitration.
