METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISCHARGING SAND FROM BLOW HEAD OF MOLD FORMING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To permit easy discharging of sand from a blow head by attaching a blow plate consisting of a frame body and an attachable and detachable press contact packing fitted to the frame body into the blow port of the blow head. CONSTITUTION:The operator pulls a press contact packing 8 by hand in the stage of discharging sand from the inside of a blow head 2 and the packing can be easily removed to open largely a blow plate 5. A sand discharging chute 17 is provided via a gas outlet 15 and a partition wall 16 to a gushing head 3. If blow air is blown while the blow plate 5 is brought into press contact with the head 3, the sand remaining in the head 2 is instantaneously discharged from the bottom end of the chute 17.
