PURPOSE:To make the wind box of a burner compact and at the same time decrease NOX by a structure wherein a fuel gas injection nozzle pipe is arranged just after the secondary air damper of the wind box of a compartment and distributing plates are mounted at 90 deg. bend of the compartment just after said pipe. CONSTITUTION:A fuel gas injection pipe 3 is arranged just after the secondary air damper 2 of a burner wind box 1 to form lean pre-mixed flames and at the same time in a space upstream a 90 deg. bend 8 and yet distributing plates 9 to prevent drift from generating are mounted at the 90 deg. bend 8 just after the pipe 3. Consequently, a longer premixing distance can be provided in the wind box 1 of a weak compartment to form lean pre-mixed flames therein and yet enough pre-mixing of fuel gas and secondary combustion air 5 is realized, resulting in enabling to decrease NOX and to make the wind box of a burner compact.
