PURPOSE:To conduct thermal transfer without using any base film, by a method wherein a powdery colored substance melted when being heated is supported by a mesh form substance, and heat is selectively applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:For example, when an electric current is passed to a conductive, mesh form substance 8 obtained by molding a conductive high polymer into a porous form through electrodes 91, 92, the part of the substance 8 where the electric current is passed generates Joule heat, whereby a colored substance 6 in proximity to the part is melted, and a transfer recorded image is obtained on a recording paper 2. Heat may be applied also by a method wherein a conductive substance is used as the colored substance 6 and the substance itself is caused to generate heat, a method wherein a laser diode is provided in place of the electrodes 91, 92 and the colored substance is irradiated with laser beam to generate heat, or the like. |
