<p>PURPOSE:To bond pieces of a film onto the outer circumferential surfaces of cylinders, which are continuously moved, without forming any space between the pieces, by moving each of the cylinders, which are rotated about their own axes, in a direction opposite to the movement of the pieces of the film while pressing the rotating cylinders onto the pieces of the film on a circumferential surface of a joining roll. CONSTITUTION:The cam surface 25a of a cam plate 25 is formed in such a way that part of the cam surface 25a at a point adjacent to the upstream side of a heat bonding station C is more projected than the remaining part thereof thereby an opening end 3a of a can body 3 can start at the heat bonding station C its contact under pressure with the leading end 18a1 of a film piece 18a that is moving in the direction indicated at an arrow X. Further since the cam surface 25a is formed in such a way that the locus 35 of the axis of the can body 3 extending from its contact start point to a point where the heat bonding of the film piece 18a onto the opening end 3a will approximately end near downstream of the heat bonding station C, that is the point where the can body 3' is located, follows an arc concentric with the circumferential surface 13a of the heat bonding roll 13, the opening end 3a is moved in the direction indicated at an arrow Z with it being in contact with the film piece 18a under pressure, and the film piece 18a is bonded under pressure with the major port of the film piece 18a wound on the outer circumference of the can body.</p> |
