PURPOSE:To secure such a power generating device that operates a generating mechanism and makes a wheel no rotation in time of being attached to the wheel but in time of being detached therefrom, rotates the wheel, making a car travelable, by installing the generating mechanism, while attaching a clutch mechanism to a hub of a driving shaft. CONSTITUTION:In a state that a generating mechanism 23 is disengaged, a clutch mechanism 4 is in a state of being connected as well as a supprt shaft 7 and a rotating cylinder 9 both are in a rotation transmitting state too so that a wheel 20 is rotated by rotation of a driving shaft 1 by means of an engine. On the other hand, when the generating mechanism 23 is attached to the clutch mechanism 4 from the outside and each claw lever 39 is engaged with an engaging hole 22 and locked therein, an input shaft 29 forcibly presses a select rod 13, retreating a select ring 10 to some extent whereby its engagement with a power transmitting mechanism 16 is set free, while both shafts 7 and 29 come into a rotation transmitting state due to their fittingness to a receiving part 12 of the input shaft 29. With this constitution, an output shaft 36 is rotated at a high speed by rotation of the input shaft 29 via a step-up part 25 consisting of two speed-up parts 27 and 28, thus high-power electric energy out of a generating part 26 is securable. |
