PURPOSE:To make accurate temperature control attainable, by installing a memory device capable of storing a car outdoor air temperature and the control desired temperature of the car outdoor air temperature and the car indoor air temperature, while controlling an air cooling mechanism and an inside-outside select damper on the basis of these outside and desired inside air temperatures. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner for vehicles is provided with an inside-outside air select damper 13 inside a ventilating duct 10, a cooler 15 being connected to an air cooling mechanism 22 driven by an engine 23 via a solenoid clutch 50, an air mix damper 18, a heater 16, etc. In this case, a controller 1, which inputs each output signal out of both inside and outside air temperature sensors 60 and 61 and a temperature setter 63 for setting the car indoor desired temperature, etc., is installed in addition. This controller 1 controls the select damper 13 with an actuator 51 according to a deviation between the outside temperature and the desired inside temperature and simultaneously controls the solenoid clutch 50 for its on-off operations according to the said deviation. A blowing port select damper 21 is also controlled in the same manner. |
