A lens device is provided to reduce intensity of light simultaneously with preventing image quality deterioration when a high bright subject is photographed. A lens device includes an imaging optical system(22,26), an iris unit(30), a filter unit(64), and a filter switching unit. The imaging optical system forms an image on an imaging element with inputted light flux. The iris unit is installed on the imaging optical system. The filter unit is installed on an object side of the imaging element, passes the light flux therethrough, and includes an infrared ray cut filter and a photoresist filter. The infrared ray cut filter filters infrared ray included in the light flux. The filter switching unit arranges the infrared ray cut filter and the photoresist filter within a range of the light flux when photographing a high bright subject.
