PURPOSE:To enable a high-color-rendering energy-saving-type rapid start fluorescent lamp to be ignited with the usual glow starter by specifying the proportion of an yttrium-system phosphor activated with europium which is a red phosphor. CONSTITUTION:A phosphor film 6 is formed on a conductive film 2 formed on the inner surface of a glass tube 1 having electrodes 4 and 5 in its ends. The glass tube 1 is charged with an inactive gas principally consisting of krypton. The phosphor film 6 in such a fluorescent lamp principally consists of both a halophosphate-system phosphor activated with antimony alone or antimony and manganese and an yttrium-system phosphor activated with trivalent europium which is a red phosphor. The proportion of the yttrium-system phosphor activated with trivalent europium in the phosphor film 6, is adjusted to between 10wt% and 40wt%. |
