PURPOSE:To decrease remarkably the chip size in case of LSI formation by forming a high speed multi-bit shift register having been a problem of a ghost eliminating device by a charge transfer element to cope with a ghost having a large delay time. CONSTITUTION:A video signal A including ghost is compared with a reference signal at a subtractor 4 and the ghost is detected. An output of a sample-and- hold circuit 17 is inputted to an LPF18 to eliminate a residual clock. A DC change component due to clock changeover and a ghost signal converted into a low frequency signal are obtained from the output D of the LPF18. Then, the output of the LPF18 is fed to a differentiating circuit 6, where the signal is differentiated as shown in (E) and converted into a digital signal and fed to a subtractor 9. Since the read clock of a CCD shift register 8 is utilized as an address clock of a tap gain memory 10, the data stored in the address of the tap corresponding to its delay time by a differentiated output P produced by the ghost is corrected and decreased, thereby eliminating the ghost one after another. |
