PURPOSE:To improve a using procedure sequentially by storing the corrected contents of results obtained by converting ''kana'' (Japanese syllabary) into ''kanji'' (Chinese character) by an operator. CONSTITUTION:For instance, an operator inputs ''haikei kisha masumasu goseiei no koto to'' (starting words of a letter, provided that is a space) and then depresses a conversion key. Consequently, display as shown in the figure A is outputted and a cursor K indicating an input position indicates the 17th character. If the display of ''HAIKEI'' (dear sir) is not satisfied, the cursor K is backed to the 3rd column and then a display correction key is depressed. Consequently, the display of ''HAIKEI'' (dear sir) is converted into ''kana'' by a conversion dictionary storage part (figure C). The status (''kanji'' display or ''kana'' display) of the display correction key set up by said operation can be used as a display correction mode specifying key for specifying whether the status of the display correction key is used as temporary memory in the documentation or parmanent memory to be used for another documentation to be executed successively.
