PURPOSE:To prevent a belt from shrinking at the end of printing, by a method wherein a rotation-transmitting mechanism for transmitting the rotation of a ribbon-feeding motor to a ribbon-feeding belt is provided with a one-way clutch mechanism for preventing a driving roller from being reversely rotated. CONSTITUTION:A motor is operated, and the rotation thereof is transmitted to the driving roller 52 to move the ribbon-feeding belt 56 clockwise. By this, a ribbon 34 is let out from a let-out spool 36, is once drawn out to the exterior to be used for printing, is again drawn into the interior, and is taken up on a take-up spool 38. When printing is completed, the belt 56 tends to shrink between the driving roller 52 and the take-up spool 38 to thereby rotate the roller 52 counterclockwise. At this moment, each of rollers 66 comes closely between the inner peripheral surface of a recessed part 60 and the outer peripheral surface of a projected part 62 in a space 64 to restrain the roller 52 from being reversely rotated. |
