PURPOSE:To attain the recording and reproduction of a video signal with fidelity by providing a clip circuit constituted of a collector and a base of a transistor (TR) used as a clip element and conducting the clip operation of a video signal and correcting operation in clip section so as to decrease the waveform distortion of a reproduced video signal. CONSTITUTION:The clip circuit 20 constituted by using the collector and the base of an NPN TR21 as the clip element for dark clip and the collector and the base of a PNP TR22 as the clip element for white clip are provided between a pre-emphasis circuit 2 connected to a signal input terminal 1 and an FM modulation circuit 3 connected to a magnetic head 4. Each collector of the NPN TR21 and the PNP TR22 as each the clip element is connected in common to the signal line of the video signal, and the TR acts like principally equivalent clip operation as each diode in a conventional example. |
